1. Samuel Swanton was probably born in Fenelon Falls, Ontario, Canada, about 1850. He died about 1900. He was married for the 2nd time on July 14, 1887 to Mary. She died on June 25, 1934 at 82.

2. Samuel Clark Swanton moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1918. He was a member of Fidelity Lodge, No. 148, Port Perry, Ontario, and later a member of Fidelity Lodge, A. F. & A. M. No. 146, Winnipeg. He died on September 28, 1963 in Winnipeg, age 75.
In May 1919 in Winnipeg he married Ruth Plaistow Swanton, born August 9, 1896 in West Lorne, Ontario. She went to Winnipeg about 1918. She was prominent in Eastern Star Circles. In 1983, she was 87 and still lived there. Had a half brother, William and a half sister, Cecil, who died in 1960.
